May Sprouting Project Dinner: Rhubarb
Saturday, May 23, 2020
06:00 PM - 08:00 PM
The Sprouting Project
39 Beach Lagoon Rd, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034, USA
Although rhubarb is a vegetable, it is often put to the same culinary uses as fruits. The leaf stalks can have delicious flavors when raw, but most commonly rhubarb is cooked with sugar and used in pies, crumbles and other desserts. Harvested directly from The Sprouting Project, we will play with this vegetable's strong, tart taste in all five courses of this one-of-a-kind meal.
Guests will enjoy an intimate southern-inspired true farm-to-table dinner at The Sprouting Project, our culinary team’s answer to hyper-local sustainability. The dinner includes a tour of the resort's state-of-the-art aquaponic greenhouse, expansive organic garden and large collection of beehives while enjoying passed bites and harvest inspired cocktails, all before a five-course chef inspired dinner that incorporates items gathered directly from The Sprouting Project. This monthly event will showcase both the creativity and culture of our chefs in a lush, outdoor setting.
May theme: Rhubarb
The evening kicks off with cocktails and light bites at 6:00 p.m. followed by a five-course dinner at 7:00 p.m. Seating is limited.
$92.49 (inclusive of taxes & service charge) plus online processing fee per person. Cash bar.
